Hello All,

We've been quiet for a little while. But we've got some new blood and they've got some good energy.

We're kicking it off with an Animator's Social at the Red Velvet Lounge (upstairs at Rendezvous in Belltown). Come on down and meet other animation professionals from the area. Bring your animation friends and studio mates. It's open to all. If we get enough interest we'll make this a regular event.

If you missed this highly rated existential comedy at SIFF, it's screening at the Varsity for one week only starting Friday July 17th.

This stop-motion animated feature is based on the short stories of Etgar Keret. The film's characters include an unemployed 28 year old who still lives at home, a chain smoking guardian angel, a magician, and a boy who sets his piggy bank free. Their stories are woven togheter by a $9.99 booklet purported to contain the meaning of life. The Hollywood Reporter called it “bewitching,” and “a candidate for the most unusual film of 2008.”
