Copied directly from the Landmark Seattle's website:

"$9.99"
One Week Only!
Starts Friday, July 17 at the Varsity Theatre

"Have you ever wondered 'What is the meaning of life? Why do we exist?' The answer to this vexing question is now within your reach! You'll find it in a small yet amazing booklet, which will explain, in easy to follow, simple terms your reason for being! The booklet, printed on the finest paper, contains illuminating, exquisite colour pictures, and could be yours for a mere $9.99." This is the ad that alters the life of Dave Peck (voice of Samuel Johnson), an unemployed 28-year-old who still lives at home. In his struggle to share his find with the world, Dave's surreal path crosses with those of his unusual neighbors: an old man and his disgruntled guardian angel, a magician in debt, a bewitching woman who likes her men extra smooth, a broken-hearted man who befriends a group of hard-partying two-inch tall students, and a little boy who sets his piggy bank free. Their stories are woven together, examining the post-modern meaning of hope. A stop-motion animated feature based on the short stories of Etgar Keret, adapted for the screen by Keret and director Tatia Rosenthal. Featuring the voices of Geoffrey Rush and Anthony LaPaglia.

Hey, I want to see this one. They played it during SIFF, but I missed it.

How about THIS film as an event as well, in addition to the other one? Why not two events? Let's see... it doesn't start til July 17. That's a Friday too. How about opening night? The 17th? I could do that.

So many movies that I'd never have known about without you, Michelle.  Thanks.
Wish I could do the 17th - but I have a stupid kid's birthday party that I don't want to go to - but have to...

I can also do any of those nights. 18th or 19th would be fine with me.

OK, the 19th it is!

Unfortunately, we won't know the showtimes until later this week.  There will probably be a matinee and a couple of evening shows.  I could make it to an evening show, but not a matinee.  Once we decide on a time, we oughta figure out a meeting location and time since some of us are not familiar with some others of us.

The Varsity is on University Ave, south of 45th St.  Parking is challenging but not impossible.  I imagine transit is pretty frequent since it's in the heart of the U-district.

Anyone else wanna join us?  Reply in this thread.

I can only do 5pm or later on the 19th - so evening works best for me, too.
I'll check back to see what time.

It plays at 7:30 and 9:30.  Is everyone okay with the 7:30?  Want to meet at a coffee place down there at around 7pm?  I'm excited to see this!  Looks interesting.

I can make the 7:30 show.  I can meet at 7pm.  There's a coffee shop called Trebant Coffee and Chai on 45th right around the corner from the Varsity (you don't even have to cross a street).  It's next door to the Zanadu Comic shop, so if you see the Zanadu's eye-catching sign, just look for Trebant next door to it.

The Varsity is on University Ave, just south of 45th St.  I think tickets are $9.50.

Oops, my mistake -- it's spelled Trabant, but the rest of the info is the same.

Here's a link to their location...  http://maps.google.com/maps?f=l&hl=en&sll=47.661507,-122.314085&sspn=0.003721,0.006813&q=Trabant+Coffee+And+Chai&near=&ie=UTF8&om=1

See y'all there at 7pm.
